My name is Ken Hoffman, ex-Partner of the $400 million European Special Situations fund, MarCap Investors. Over the past 5 years we saw an Alpha in excess of 10% annually. I have recently left MarCap to work with the CEO of a German, publicly listed firm that is now a cash shell with approx $40 million in net cash. While the company cannot be stripped of its cash, it can invest this cash. We intend to turn this company into a privately owned investment firm. I am looking for a partner firm that wants European exposure looking at both PE and large equity stakes in publicly traded smaller cap European names (with primary focus on Germany and Sweden).
